The BW 160 is a high-precision drilling mud pump designed for borehole drilling applications. This reciprocating piston/plunger pump circulates drilling fluid under high pressure (up to 7,500 psi/52,000 kPa) down the drill string and back up the annulus. As essential equipment for oil well drilling, mud pumps are classified as either single-acting or double-acting based on their piston cycle operation.
