How to Select Drilling Rods
Drill rods used in applications such as DTH, DTHR, and DR consist of steel pipes with a pin at one end and a box at the other. These rods transmit rotational torque and thrust from the drill rig rotary head to downhole drilling tools.
Different applications require different diameter drill rods. Smaller DTH hammers typically require smaller DTH drill rods, and vice versa. Available diameters include:
